48 pieces relay Control

Hello Guys, I want to make a Project with 89s51 but Ä° do not know how to make. I want to control 48 pieces relay using one 89s51. 8 relay will be activated by 1.5 sec waintg. Immediately after the other 8 pieces relay will be activated. So, 48 pieces relay will be activated with 1.5 sec waiting.This process was done than Program will be returned to the head.a summary, 48 pieces relay will be activated with 1.5 sec waintg and I can change the waiting period(1.5 sec ), if possible.Already, thanss..

Sorry I don't understand what you want.

Is that 1.5 seconds between each relay, so a cycle lasts 72 seconds,
or do the relays come on 8 at a time, so a cycle lasts 9 seconds ?

Yes. It must be as you said. It must be 1.5 seconds between each relay. And I can change waiting time(1.5 seconds) when i want.

If you want only one relay to be on at a time the simplest way would be a set
of decade counters such as the 4017 or the 7490.

The 89s51 would only have pulse each decade counter every 1.5 seconds.
