hi...

i have done with a simple blinky program with MplabX and builded with XC8 compiler
i tried to flash the code with the PICKIT3 standalone tool..
it shows the following Error...

Program operation of program memory failed
Address 0x0 ,read 0x0 ,expected 0x3fff..

any one have idea how to solve it???

Can the Pickit3 read the Pics signature bytes and control bytes ?

Erase the Pic then do a blank test.
If it is blank try to program it again.

i tried to read its getting the values . Erase also ok... ,verify is failed... blank check is ok...

What PIC is it ?
Does your programmer see the PIC as the right type ?

It could be to do with low voltage programming.

Do the config bits you read from the chip say it is set for
high or low voltage programming ?

Have you set your programming software for high or low voltage programming ?

PIC16f882 i am using Standalone tool for programming...
how to select the high or low voltage programming does it have impact on programming...

what tool is it exactly? usually parallel program is high voltage programing and some of the serial programmers have feature of high voltage programming too. only difference is VPP is 12v instead of 5v or 3.3v

Please post a diagram of the board the PIC is mounted on while being programmed.
Mark the connections to the PICKIT3.
