You can use any 8051 available in your local market. If you are unable to decide which one. Just make of list of 8051's available in market and post list here we will give you best option that you can use.

make sure you similar type transistor i.e. make sure both are NPN or PNP. I think 2n2222 is NPN. For TSOP you can go to market and look for TV remote receivers available in market. everyone use their own naming but usually their part number ends with 38/36 etc.

They both are using same architecture, so It should be able to run the standard 8051 program. No changes required as such. There is no special peripheral being used in this project. Datasheet of controller was in Chinese so I could not read it. You need to try and test it.
