Hi, we are prepare to release a new PIC32 integration module, how do you think about it, any shortcomings? thk

I would suggest you provide some extra GPIOs on I/O connector. How many LEDs are you planning to use? Is this some kind of learner board for PIC32 or industrial purpose?

thank you Ajay, I think 4-5 LEDs may be enough, LED's meaning can be defined by users, the module we plan to be directly using in the fanal product, also it can be used for learning.

4 should be ok. also make some timer modules pins to be available on IO connector especially, capture, compare & PWM module pins. They are very useful in real projects.

Good advice!and we'll consider EMC&SI issures about I/Os, for terrible industrial environment,It‘s high-risk run away.

Hi, You can use 8 leds with 74hc595..

Thank you Amit, but I think 8 leds are too more, and 74hc595 will make the coding work a little bother, for the leds are just used for some indication

You can use driver files. just the user will attach the driver file and in the main code, the same will tell which led to glow.

I think you can be right in the situation users need monitor most of the functions by LEDs, but is that common? maybe I can add some LEDs directly in the auxiliary circuit, for easy debugging.

I think giving simple GPIO interface on IO connector will help user decide what he wants to do. He can add IO expander incase he want more LEDs or IOs later. You can provide suggestions with your design e.g. if someone wants more LEDs do this.. if someone wants more GPIOs do this... and you can provide software samples along with it. what you say?
