Yet another 5-digit display board utilizing 7-Segment LED's & 74HC595 shift registers. Just in case anyone is looking for a simple way to visualize his/her output. Only uses 3 digital output pins & you're good to go.

ohhh i was working on the same thing but i was using smd ic's and registors to reduce the form factor...
anyways nice work

indeed the smd parts will shrink the form factor, not to mention that SMD is sexy . I had a bunch of DIP chips that I wanted to make use of . Anyway, nowadays I'm trying to replace all my through-hole components' stock with SMD parts so stay tuned
