SIMCOM SIM Problem

hi i am having the problem with sim908 , if i change the sim while the modem is on i have to reset modem to switch to the other sim,
is there any way that i can change the sim while modem is on without resetting the modem.

i think it is necessary to reset the modem to pick a new sim that you inserted
as you can't change a sim when cell is in on condition
i not check it it is my thinking

its not advised to change sim when modem is on as it will not work. Have you ever changed sim card when your phone is on? that might answer your question.

ajay thank you for your answer, the problem is this when i reset the modem using the power key and GPS in 908 also gets reset i mean i see no fix location, this is the issue, is there any way that i reset the GSM modem and ist gps remain fixed. if any one knows the solution plz help

you can try to turn radios off and then enable again. I never tried that way so I am not sure if it will work.

try at+cfun command see its description and try it.

then if u send AT+CFUN = 1 // Full functionality if picks up new sim inserted // the default setting of GSM simcom908
