INQUIRIES ABOUT YOUR HA PROJECT

hello ajay, i got questionabout your HA project.
1) After we type command at the client side what will appear. Let say we type command " stat " then enter. I mean the reaponse after we enter the stat command. what display the telnet prompt should be displaying. what is the hardware reaponds. I just make a test to your project and i got nothing respond.. when i enter the command 'stat' , 'tube', 'swich' or 'bulb' and etc;

Please try checking your hardware and the serial cable. Serial cable must be straight i.e. 2-2 and 3-3

check the HA project along with the HA server and complete hardware.

thanks Ajay, i'll try to change the serial port cable first...but i got one more ques.. Once we start the software, did the server automatically detect or communicate with the hardware?

no there is no automatic communication between hardware and the HAserver.
HAserver act as a tunnel or a passage for the data from the telnet port to your serial port.
so as such there is no communication in between hardware and the HAserver.

Hai Ajay, hw re u? i would like to ask u why u uses the serial comm for HA project?
Can we uses the parallel communication instead of serial comm for HA project connections. I mean the connection between server PC and HA project.
I just want to know? Thanks...

Because, serial communication is easy in microcontroller rather parallel, and i never tried using parallel port for any communication purpose, i think no one did used it..
tell me if you have to decide from parallel or serial comm. what will you decide? i am sure you'll say serial coz its easy..
