8051 based GSM controlled switch using mobile phone

hai 2 everybody in the forum ...I have been given a project named 8051 based GSM controlled switch using mobile phones...I don't know anything about that can anybody expalin what that project is..? Plzzzzzzzzzz can anybody help me...?

Get a mobile which supports AT commands.download its AT commands manual from internet..and test them with hyper terminal.
After that you will be able to move to next step

we have a GSM kit which can be interfaced to the mobile.....the simmcard is inserted in the GSM kit and a call can be answered thru AT commands in Hyperterminal....and we also have a 8051 microcontroller kit....we need to write a program to rotate the stepper motor..and the stepper motor is operated thru a client moble...so where ever u r in the world u can control the stepper motor by the message u send to the GSM moblie...so what i need is ,how the mssg recieved in the hyperterminal can run the programm written in 8051....

now send a message to that kit..

do u get any traces on the hyperterminal???
