Clarification About the I2c tutorial

Pls. check the schematic of the DS1307 interfacing tutorial to 8051.. PIN 9 is directly connected to VCC/5V..

We know that the reset PIN (PIN9) of 8051 is active high... is it really like that or something I dont understand about the working?? pls answer my doubts.... thanks

RST Reset input. A high on this pin for two machine cycles while the oscillator is running
resets the device.

yeah/ I read that also in the datasheet.. I think that will not work since 2 machine cycle is very fast.. not enough time for the controller to perform any routine... hehe

I thought i had replied to this.. well Its my mistake. controller will remain in reset. I missed out reset circuit somehow. must be in hurry hehe..

I tried all your tutorials in 8051 ajay except the SD card which is I currently studying now using PIC18f4550..

you can use same library with PIC too... good luck..
