hello, im a student, and i need an ADC to drive a 4-wire resistive touch screen, but i don't know which i should use.
could any1 give me some suggestions?

use a 4 channel or 8 channel ADC, what kind interface you want.. parallel or serial? and how many bits? 8-bit, 10-bit, 12-bit
so you need to give me your requirement so that i can give you some suggestions

i'm trying to make sth like a drawing board with the touch screen and a 160x128 lcd, do you think 8-bit is enough?



i need serial interface and the ADC need to be faster.

no other requirement.

ok then use Maxim's MAX1204 -- 5V, 8-Channel, Serial, 10-Bit ADC with 3V Digital Interface, SPI serial interface...
