Hello ..

I'm in my final year I have big problem with my project which is interface the GSM with microcontroller. First, I'm choose to implement this circuit

But I'm found that AVR is difficult, and the programmer in not available in my city and takes long time to order..

Can anybody convert this circuit to use 8051 because I'm already familiar with it. But I'm dont' know what changes can be made..

Or any body can give me a schematic to another interface with 8051 and a modern mobile..

The time is over for me
and I'm really need your help this time..

Please ..

Thanks in advance..

There is virtually no conversion needed to the hardware.

Just connect to the TX and RX pins of 8051 instead of
pins 2 and 3 of the ATtiny2313.

thank you ExperimenterUK for your fast replay ..

This is the pin diagram of the 8051 , so the modifications are :

http://www.8051projects.info/images/89c51.JPG

1. connect the the Txd and RxD to pin 10 & 11.
2. The XTal1 , 2 in pin 19 , 20 ..

but what about other components capacitors, resistors ,...etc
Are they positions and values change or not ..?

..
please I need your replay

Thanks in advance

As far as the T10 interface is concerned you only need to change the connection from
pins 2-3 to 10-11.

Obviously you will need to change any components needed to make the 8051 run.
Key items are the crystal on 18,19.
Reset on pin 9.
EA\Vpp on pin 31.

What's the value of the new crystal and capacitor ?

I'm familiar with 8051 , does thier values change or use the same ?

And the connection for the devices in the rightmost of the circuit will be changed.. ?

Thank you for helping ..

use 11.0592Mhz crystal with 33pF loading capacitors.

nothing else to be changed at all..
