you cannot send file via http. You might have to use a different way of transferring file like I have mentioned earlier in my post.

but i already have tcp application server in java why i need to make one more,as per your suggestion i can send a text file via gsm modem(as client) to tcp application(server) via http,is it right or wrong? or m confused in whole networking concept?

Please i need your strong advice.

NO! I said the other way.. you can get file from HTTP server to your device using HTTP GET request. which means server can send file to modem.

okkkk,got it.then their is no another way to send file from GSM modem to tcp server,please share your idea,i need your advice on it.+

Yes there is actually no other way. Just check if Sim900 provides any special APIs; which I doubt.

Looks like its your lucky day.. I just found user guide and command set for SIM900 FTP and HTTP services. here take a look. I never used it though but you can give a try.

Hello everyone. I am trying to access the web page through gprs sim 900 modem.

OK

CONNECT OK
at+cipsend
 GET /HTTP/1.1
SEND OK

After these commands what can i do. I am really very weak in networking. please help me out.

hi sir,

Could you please suggest me how i check the network status i.e gprs is connected or not?
is their any command. bz after every 45 mints its IP is getting changed so connection is getting lost.is their any way to check the network status.so,i will repeat the procedure again to connect with tcp server
