do not forget to work on CGram area its wonderful. even this simple LCD can generate some nice gfx for you.

sir , for working on CGRAM area , i can give the code directly as the "senddata" function.... am i ryte .....?

how can i calculate the value to be sent for custom charactor building...? is there any application (i mean , visual basic application)for calculating it......? i saw the custom charactor building area of the "tutorial section " ...so i think u r used the custom made "message box" in the home automation project .... ....?

actually wat is the main differance between the

#define rs P3^5

and

sbit rs = p3^5

..........?

among these which is the best way to define the "rs" (or anything)......? i usually hav seen that the two ways are used........

first way is a very kown way of defining an IO using provided header file with compiler software.

second way is specific way of defining IO pin according to compiler you're using. This way you dont need to add any header file.

First way of defining an IO is recommended because of the reason that your code becomes more portable across the compilers. coz way to define IO pin changes from compiler to compiler.

and also i hav "B-TECH ENTRANCE EXAMINATION " in this saturday(30/04/2011)....bt i dont know wat to study.... but im trying harder for it... (coz , engineering is my passion.... )
