Hi,

May i know how the LabView8.2 can be interface with uC via RS232?

I had tried this "Advanced Serial Write and Read.vi" LabView itself sample.
When i run this sample, it will comeout a message illustrate the error:
"Error-1073807202 occurred at Property Node in VISA Configure Serial Port (Instr).vi->Advanced Serial Write and Read.vi...."

I tried to remove the Sample Error Handler.vi from the sample then error message wouldn't appear again. Do you know why?

then i try to interface with my uC but still can't interface.

Please anyone can help me?

Thank you.

did u try checking the loopback ??
Connect the serial port to your device. If no device is available, perform a loopback test by doing one of the following. Short pins 2 and 3 on a RS-232 cable or short pin 4 to pin 8 and pin 5 to pin 9 on a RS-485/422 cable.
:-)
 Help like this.

Hi,

Ya, I already try loopback test. I'm using RS-232 cable. I short pins 2 and 3. In hyperterminal it work but the LV couldn't.

I reallize the error is come out from Configure Port vi error out!

I don't have any idea to test it and i'm new in LabView. Please advice.. :-(

Thank you. :-)

As this is graphical programming (in block form), it will give developer a easy understanding of programming.
Ex:

i collected serial data in visual basic and transferred them to LabView..

Did you try serial directly using LabView before?

Thank You.

Ya, you are rite but why don't we directly use that software and it save our time. This programming had their own advantage and usefulness. :-)
What so attracted by me is their Front Panel and it can draw and plot any graph type and waveform you like easiest.;)

Please anyone can help me serial interface part? :-(

Thank You.
