Automatically sending of SMS via Nokia 3310

??? is that an error you are getting? or what?

there's no error appeared.. but the destination number doesn't receive the SMS that i have sent..

what reply you are getting form the phone.. can you post it?
also have you done the test? i mean to say.. have you tried clicking on test button..
you will get a ACK frame after that you will get a HW and SW version frame 3 times... tell me are u getting that or not...

what is HW and SW version btw?

HW = hardware Version
and SW = software version..

the test button send command 0xD1 which is to read the hardware and software version of Nokia Phones.

I want to see what you get in the receive window.. there are two text boxes in the software...
the top one is what is being transmitted and bottom one is what is being received. So do not forget to label the data received..
e.g.
TX data:
........

RX data:
........

like that i want.. and whatever you sent at the top... doesn't seems to be correct....

Can you please help out on the receiving part?
I was able to read a tutorial on getting SMS but I can't grasp it fully, and have no idea on how to get it working in VB.

As a 5th yr Electrical Engineering Student, we are to make a project using a micro controller using PIC16F84A by our ECE instructor (even though we are not programmers and designers)... Unfortunately, our discussion on programming this PIC using Assembly is just very limited.. Our project is to make a intruder alarm that will send an SMS to the receiver or owner that his house is being robbed.. I came to know about this Fbus of 3310 which maybe applicable to our project...But, how do we program this PIC??? Please give us a source code and the design.. Please!!!! Or just an info on how to program this PIC in connection with the Fbus of the mobile phone.... Please help..

In above link they use Atmel AVR. but you can make use of PIC its simple. take reference from the link and start working. Please use a new thread for your problem. it would be better and easy to keep track of it.

Can you please tell me how to synchronize the UART with the phone using the microcontroller.. I really don't know about that..
