Hi All,
My main skill is in making radio controlled model boats, scratch built from timber.
My latest project is a RC rowing boat, building the boat is easy, making the rowing mechanism should not be too difficult, but powering it is something that is way out of my comfort zone.
I have just bought a small stepper motor (28BYJ-48) and control board (based on the ULN2003A chip.)
I've bought these as a learning process, and this is where I come to a standstill.
I am hoping that someone can point me in the correct direction to where I can find out how to program the board, and then how to then load the program from my PC to the control board.
I am fairly handy with computers, and learning new skills is something that I take on as a challenge.
Thank you in advance
Mick

I did a search for the 28BYJ-48 and found this on ebay.
eBay item number:
200712530295
This module is just a driver, it can't be programmed. Is yours like this ?
If so you will need to add a microcontroller such as a PIC, AVR or 8051.
There are at least three families of Micro and dozens in each family so you have
lots (too much) of choice.
Have a look through old threads where members have asked which micro family is best.
Then come back to us for more advice.
